No, they aren't going to be running at twice the speed lol..it's not like that...it's not like playing a cassette tape twice as fast. The software will follow the same clock on the cpu...its programmed to receive 'seconds' for example...it's not going to automatically translate that to milliseconds because it has more throughput. The software instructions are the same.

There may be a few glitches/shortcomings here and there, but it should be fine. You are running a 32 bit instruction sequence on a machine that is capable of digesting twice the input, but it won't 'speed up' to make itself more effective/efficient.

With all that being said, it may simply not work at all if the instruction set is not compatible. I think it could be a crapshoot. Install and rock on. I used to play Age of Empires, which I assume is close to the games you are speaking of...
